How many times during the last weeks did you saw this paint on Instagram? Well, I bet you will all answer 'Too many'! But what is behind it?
The paint, entitled 'The Republican Club', is a work of the artist Andy Thomas and presents fourteen famous USA presidents around a table, with Donald Trump in the middle. The paint became famous in mid-October, after having been spotted hanging on a wall of the White House in a picture posted on Twitter by the reporter Lesley Stahl.
Later, it has been revealed that the paint has been found by the Republican Representative Issa Darrell and he decided to donate a print of it to president Trump, who (apparently) really appreciated it.
The painter, that until recently did not know that his work was hanging in the White House, said to be very honoured, but that his paint does not represent a political statement, and indeed, his production includes paints of both Republican and Democratic politicians.
Another detail of the painting that did not passed unnoticed on the web is the female figure holding a chair in the background (see image on the right). It is said to represent the future first female Republican president of the United States of America.
